Messaging

mFabrik's messaging is a powerful tool for mobile messaging and can allow businesses an innovative approach to target consumers.

While many think of messaging as messages sent using the Short Message Service (SMS), it has been extended to include messages containing image, video, and sound content, such as MMS messages. The most common application of the service is person-to-person messaging, but text messages are also used to interact with automated systems, such as ordering products and services for mobile phones, or participating in contests. Advertisers and service providers use texts to notify mobile phone users about promotions, payment due dates, and other notifications that were previously sent by post or left as voicemail.

Apex Messaging is a powerful tool for mobile and Internet messaging. It enables numerous options to send and receive messages such as regular GSM SMS (text messages), concatenated SMS (long text messages), e-mails or WAP Push messages (mobile Internet bookmarks). Apex Messaging can be used to communicate with customers, partners, employees, or any group of people easily and in a cost-effective way.

Previously, text messaging (SMS) services have been offered as separate solutions but with Apex Vertex it is possible to manage, create and use SMS services in one complete solution. Services can be one way push services or subscription based. Mobile phone numbers can be collected into address books in multiple ways: from subscriptions, by typing manually or importing text files containing phone numbers. Finally, Apex Messaging can either be offered together via a bulk SMS account or can be used as an SMS account from an SMS broker.
