			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Mobile Marketing Magazine recognized the new mobile site of London City Airport, which was developed by our design team on top of mFabrik Vertex3 mobile delivery platform.</p>
<p>In the article London City Airports eCommerce manager Fiona Bennel describes the new mobile site followingly: &#8220;We felt that to meet the demand of our users, and to ensure we had consistant branding across our online site and mobile site, we should do a site redesign. We worked with mFabrik to create a simple and easy to use web-app experience that worked across all platforms and was very responsive, and we are delighted with the results. The traffic since the redesign has increased dramatically.&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In a recent article by InformationWeek  quoted, Jason Spero, head of Google&#8217;s global mobile operations, telling &#8220;Consumers are having a love affair with their smartphones, that love affair is transforming consumers&#8217; lives and changing the way businesses engage with their customers&#8221;. In a separate blog post Google noted that four out five online publishers lack a mobile-optimized site and are thus at risk of &#8220;losing their fastest-growing audience&#8221;.</p>
<p>Google has also completed  a survey with the help of research firm Ipsos, about how consumers use their smartphones. Here are some of the findings:</p>
<ul>
<li>Smartphone ownership has reached 44% of Population in Spain and 38% in the U.S.A.</li>
<li>93% of U.S. smartphone owners use their phones every day</li>
<li>88% of smartphone users in U.S. say they notice online adds</li>

Situation is the same throughout the whole of industrialized world.</p>
<div>At the same time a <a href="http://advertising.yahoo.com/article/the-role-of-mobile-devices-in-shopping-process.html" target="_blank">survey by Yahoo! and the Nielsen company</a> showed that 9 out of 10 mobile users utilized mobile Internet while in a store or mall. Of those users, about 50% of that activity was related to shopping. According to the same survey, 86% of internet users will use their mobile device while watching TV. A quarter of those viewers say they browse content related to the subject they’re watching on TV.</div>

Hence, they wanted to find out their customers&#8217; satisfaction regarding consumer service and quality management of their brands (Arabia, Iittala, Hackman and Fiskars home products). As Fiskars had no earlier experience on mobile satisfaction surveys, the experiment carried out with mFabrik was of particular interest.</strong></p>
<p><em>&#8220;The system seemed a simple, easy, fast and interesting way to go forward with affordable cost&#8221;</em>, lists the reasons behind the decision Ms <strong>Kirsi Lauttia</strong>, Consumer Service Manager of Fiskars Home. Collecting the mobile phone numbers turned out to be the hardest part of the process, as they had not been systematically prompted from the customers in other circumstances, but eventually they as well were at hand in time. <em>&#8220;Being able to monitor and filter the results based on a number of different variables in real time was fantastic&#8221;</em>, points also out Ms Lauttia.</p>
<p>The actual survey results regarding the brand images were very encouraging. The amount of open-format feedback was also a nice surprise: <em>&#8220;I believe we can really trust these results, as the respondent group included all possible contacts for a certain time period&#8221;</em>, summarizes Lauttia. <em>&#8220;And now that we have them &#8220;carved in stone&#8221;, we are able to show and exploit these facts&#8221;</em>.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>According american eMarketer Service combination of smartphones and local search drives more and more traffic to those stores that utilize them. According to eMarketer some 70% of consumers checked an online source before visiting a local business or restaurant. More and more of that search traffic is moving to smartphones.</p>
<p>In a recent study by Retail Systems Research; the amount of retailers telling that smartphones add a lot of value in driving new traffic  to their stores rose from 20% in 2010 into 31% in 2011.</p>

In a closer look the amount of mobile broadband subscriptions will reach almost 5 billion in 2016 from 900 million by the end of 2011. This means approximately 60% year-on-year growth every year until 2016.</p>
<p>Data growth will come from both smartphones and tablets and will concentrate on the rise of internet access. Most growing part in internet access will be video while tradional voice will have more modest growth.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Comscore reports, that the number of mobile users in the United States ages 13 and up who accessed a social networking or blog website has grown 37% in the past year.</p>
<p>Leading the pack is Facebook, which now has a mobile audience in the U.S. approaching 60m monthly. The mobile audiences of Twitter and LinkedIn aren&#8217;t nearly as big, but they grew at a faster clip that Facebook in the past year to 13.4m and 5.5m, respectively.</p>
<p>So what are consumers doing when they&#8217;re accessing social sites from their mobiles? As to be expected, they&#8217;re consuming content.</p>
<p>The three-month average of those consumers reading posts from people they know was just over 58m. But mobile social networkers aren&#8217;t just watchers. A sizable portion &#8212; over 50m a month &#8212; used their mobile devices to produce content as well (eg. post a status update or photo), highlighting the fact that these users are quite engaged.</p>
<p>That engagement is potentially good news for marketers. That&#8217;s because comScore found that this engagement extended to interactions involving brands and organizations. Nearly 38m mobile users are reading social posts from brands and organizations each month, 24m are retrieving coupons or deals, and nearly 20m are clicking on ads.</p>
<p>So what can You learn from this:  <strong>Your mobile strategy should include social media and your social media strategy should include mobile.</strong></p>

<p>We are, quite naturally, following and monitoring our own services quite closely. And already almost two years ago we did see a trend moving towards prime time times. I mean, when mobile phones are used on the services we do provide to our clients. For some time now prime time of mobile services has been between 19:00 and 22:00.. that time used to be time when people are watching TV, playing and using their home PCs etc.. yeah, mobile phones are nowadays for many people the main device, primary one&#8230; and there&#8217;s already growing up people who do not give a ***t about the PCs as mobile devices are enough for them..</p>
